Pfizer vaccine may offer strong protection after first dose, Israeli study finds

“The Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech produces a robust immune response after just one dose, according to a new Israeli study of vaccinated health care workers at the country’s largest hospital,” as NBC News is reporting.

“The research, published Thursday in the medical journal The Lancet, followed 7,214 staff members at Israel’s Sheba Medical Center, a government-owned facility, who received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination between Dec. 19 and Jan. 24. Scientists from the medical center found that the vaccine was 85 percent effective at preventing symptomatic Covid-19 within 15 to 28 days after the shot was administered.

“Experts cautioned that more research is needed before broad conclusions can be drawn, but the results do provide some evidence that robust immunity is generated after one dose and that the second dose could be delayed beyond the three weeks prescribed by Pfizer in order to ease distribution and supply constraints.

“The timing of the second dose has been the subject of much recent debate, with some countries such as the United Kingdom opting to delay it as a way to speed up the country’s rate of immunization. In the United States, where the vaccine rollout has been bumpy and winter storms over the past week have hampered some states’ ability to administer shots, similar questions have emerged.”

  1. All I can say is, when you get your second shot, plan on being down for a day or two. All us Science teachers at NU experienced some side effects from the second shot. Mine kicked in 24 hrs later. I was feverish for about 12 hours. Others had headaches, muscle aches, numbness. Went away pretty quickly. Small price considering the alternative.

  2. We are getting our second shot with the Pfizer vaccine this Sunday, I hope to get symptoms because that is the signal for immune system being reprogrammed, GOOD!
If anybody thinks the vaccine is a big deal, try a bone marrow transplant, especially the ones given in the mid 1990s! I’m going on 25 years post bmt, when I sent out inquiries to the transplant center I was in and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society about long term survivors of a bmt’s/blood cancer survivors and Covid infection survival rate info my phone rang from those organizations. I really had no idea of how rare it is to survive this long with what I’ve been through, but HERE I AM! And their advice, “you need to get vaccinated ASAP”. My partner is a few years older and got a vaccine appointment in Roseville, I went with to drive her in case she had a reaction, she got in line and told them she wanted to give her vaccine to me because I was higher risk, they called me up to the line and we talked, their response, “roll up you sleeve”, we both got vaccinated.
    Thank You Sutter Health!

  3. I hope you will take the time to watch this video. These inoculations are trials. NOTHING has been proven. It is a biological experiment that SHOULD require informed consent, and a clear understanding that every person taking this inoculation is enlisting him/herself in a clinical trial. In addition, if you want to know what ingredients are in these experimental shots, I highly, highly recommend you watch this video with Dr Sherri Tenpenny, who is now undergoing a massive character assassination simply because she is pointing out information based upon current studies: https://www.bitchute.com/video/fhhNpDM9Ahwf/
