“The high court slapped down the case promoted by Trump on Friday, three days before the Electoral College will meet to cast votes for Biden as the winner of the November election, with no noted dissents.”

Please tell me this glimmer of hope becomes the ray of sunshine we are all looking forward to! An independent Supreme Court is a promising omen.

What we hope for — and I fear it’s too much to expect – is the day when it’s possible to read or watch the news with no mention of Trump, no image of Trump, the day when he is no longer the dumpster fire spectacle that the media monetizes.
It reminds me how — only a few weeks after his inauguration — Jane and I decided that speaking his name was so like a profanity that we set up a penalty jar, into which we each had to pay a fine of $1.00 for mentioning his name, and $2.00 for mentioning it in conjunction with the word, “President.” After just a few weeks we had enough accumulated in the jar to send to the NRDC, thus transforming a profanity into something of social value.

And in DC this afternoon, a couple thousand people rally for MAGA, and they’re pissed. They broke out into a chant, “Destroy the GOP”. Republicans are starting to eat their own after Trump’s loss.
Are there only men in that crowd? And shouldn’t it be called the 1,000 MAGA March?
