The Union’s Op-Ed page: “The left wants to force is (sic) all into Mao suits”

The Union newspaper seems more confused than ever about its mission statement. On the one hand it thinks its future is a “mobile first” game plan (witness the new website). But its op-ed page remains stuck in the McCarthy era.

The latest example is this little gem from Todd Juvinal titled, “A big thank you to the Democratic Party.”

It is an illiterate, rambling screed (at best). I wondered about this line: “The left wants to force is (sic) all into Mao suits.” Did Todd mean “force us” (not “is”) into Mao suits?

Then there’s this thought: “You ever seen a train to Hawaii? This is a loony idea but embraced by almost all the Democrat running for president. Is this getting a bit more clear?”

Well, no, it is not getting a bit more clear.

And the conclusion: “They (Democrats) are all about changing our great country into a Third World one at best. We cannot let them.”

Well, of course we can’t?!

Upon reading this, I think it’s time to borrow a “line” from Barry Pruett: 😂😂😂 Or from Todd himself: “You can’t make this stuff up!”

I’m reminded of the song “Lord I was born a ramblin’ man” (as in ramble on and on).

      1. For a supposed lawyer, Pruett isn’t too perceptive, logical or analytical. He repeats his “fake news” narrative this afternoon on Todd’s blog: “Wow. Pelline sock puppet commenting. Gloria Zane meet Ozz. Lol Posted by: Barry Pruett | 13 April 2019 at 03:49 PM” No, I’m not Gloria Zane (never was) and I’m not Ozz. I’m Jeff Pelline, and I sign my real name. Of course, consider Pruett’s alma mater (https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2018/10/31/valparaiso-law-school-will-close-following-unsuccessful-attempt-transfer-middle). It’s closing. ROFLOL!

  1. Meanwhile, in the local wingnut blogosphere, “fish” thinks I’m “Ozz.” Memo to “fish”: I sign my name. I’m not afraid to call a “fish” slimy. Ha!

    1. They obviously don’t think more then two people read and comment here. These people are profound morons.

  2. Wow. Those guys (hardly ever a “gal”) were rambling on to each other all evening long on Rebane’s blog. One post occurred after midnight. What a waste of time! Lonely lives, I guess.

    1. Gregory is hallucinating again, suggesting that I’m “Ozz.” This guy thinks he’s another Arthur Benjamin when he’s actually Bozo the Clown.

  3. I couldn’t get half way thru his pointless babbling without laughing. The comments refuting his post were the most intelligent out of the entire read. I do appreciate the post as it continues to encourage me to vote against them.

    1. Annie, Todd still thinks you’re a sock puppet. I guess he can’t imagine I’m not the only one who thinks he babbles too much. I hope it didn’t distract him from getting his taxes filed on time.

      1. Too funny!!!! I’m surprised he even “thinks”. So socks & puppets are able to type opinions according to him. Could be true – look at those who “support” him with their comments LOL!

  4. Is Don Bessee the epitome of a misogynist? First, he made endless snide remarks about Hilary Clinton. Now he writes this about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, citing Breitbart.com, no less: “Never trust anyone who smiles down at the corners of the mouth, its (sic) like saying yes and moving your head side to side as in NO. But hey its the littlest commiecongress (sic)-critter.”

All this goes unmoderated on the blog of George Rebane, who administers a “tech test” for local students. Yuck.
