Sheriff Moon, “blue” and diversity — our latest election returns

The latest election returns make it official that Shannan Moon is Nevada County’s new sheriff. Congratulations to Shannan and her family!

The latest returns are HERE and show our County continuing to go “blue.” Democrats Newsom, Yee, Becerra, Hallinan (not Gaines), Denney (over LaMalfa 55-45), Morse (routing McClintock 76-24), Sisk (over Dahle), and “no” on gas tax repeal, among others, all won.

I’m glad to see some diversity among our electeds too — in offices such as Sheriff and Clerk-Recorder.

  1. At one time there was a deceptive advertising lawsuit brought against Fox for using the term “fair and balanced.” Rebane is only concerned with information that supports his POV, nothing else, and Faux provides that for all the trumpsters. Rebane even dissed on a person who wrote a column in the Union, the other day, by snidely remarking about where the person got their PhD. in an attack on that person’s credibility. They don’t refute ideas and instead just try and rebuke the messenger and then squawk about lefties trying to limit their free speech. That is about the only way one can support trump, ignore the truth and attack the credibility of the source. Thus we have fake news.
