A reader came up with a good idea: To ask readers of this blog what kind of political phone calls they are receiving leading up to Election Day on Tuesday, November 6. What is the content of the calls? Is it human or a robocall? Is it for a local race or one that is out of the area? Feel free to post your responses here.

I got a ROBOcall recording with a woman’s voice claiming she was a life long Democrat who was was tired of high taxes, weak borders, illegal immigration, and a list of all the other things the extreme right uses to try and incite fear, and therefore, was going to vote for LaMalfa to solve all these problems. Obviously a feeble attempt to try and deflect some votes away from Audrey Denny with the “if other women who are Democrats don’t trust her should I?” unspoken innuendo. Typical republican strategy.. they can’t justify their voting records on the real issues facing America, so they throw up as much flak as possible so people don’t examine how they are really getting screwed by these people on the important stuff like gun violence, climate change, military excess, tax breaks for the rich, spiraling national debt, etc. etc. etc.
We got the same call! And bad acting. ROFLOL.
While we were on the East Coast my wife got a text “for” LaMalfa. Brings in the “how did they get this number” question first. Then “who” got to give Doug the bad news was second. We also got texts from PG&E at all kinds of weird hours to scare the crap out of us about “arbitrarily” cutting off the power. Great news at 3 am 3000 miles away-
We received the same boorish robo call about 3 or 4 times now. If the message is so “important” then make a personal call.
I got a robo call from Sheriff Royal asking me to vote for LaMalfa. I was taken aback. I thought the sheriff was supposed to be a non-political entity. I guess LaMalfa needs all the help he can get. I also got two different women’s robo calls like are mentioned above; i.e., life long Democrat, etc. Has anyone else heard from the sheriff?
