“In mid-February, the Tahoe Tribune (based in South Lake Tahoe) will take over covering Incline Village from the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, which will publish for the final time Feb. 8,” according to articles in The Union and Sierra Sun in Truckee.
All three newspapers belong to the Nevada-based Swift Communications chain of newspapers.
“With this change (The Sierra Sun) will be shifting to partner more with The Union, located in Grass Valley, to connect and improve the coverage of our county and region,” one of the articles added.
The Bonanza — founded in 1970 — is a weekly that publishes in print on Thursdays and daily online.
The (South Lake) Tahoe Tribune, with new Incline Village news and content, will be delivered and distributed to the same locations as the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza.
“Incline Village is home to some of the wealthiest people in the world,” as Swift notes, so it will be interesting to see how the residents and advertisers feel about being covered by a newspaper that is based in South Lake Tahoe.
More details about the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza is here. Swift used to publish a newspaper in Tahoe City, but that ceased publication too.
