I am a confirmed in the Episcopal church (going back to The Church of Our Savior in San Gabriel in the ’60s to historic Holy Trinity Church in Nevada City and St. Nicholas’ Episcopal Church in Tahoe City now), but I also love the traditions of Judiaism. It is an emotional and intellectual religion with a fascinating history.
I have my eye on United Flight #954, a relatively new nonstop on a Boeing 787 “Dreamliner” from SFO to Tel Aviv (14 hours) to visit the Holy Land. One of my favorite holiday songs:
