“Be wary of Pruett’s claims”: whether it’s Heidi Hall, Greg Diaz or a Democrat

You can’t make this stuff up! “Just to be clear: Not a single named commenter here has denigrated Heidi Hall,” writes Barry Pruett, a regular on Todd Juvinall’s blog (also known as a “mudpit”). For background on Pruett, here’s a letter to the editor he wrote, stating “I will never vote for a Democrat, because this is the only way this American can fight back).”

Let’s examine how Todd’s blog handled Heidi Hall’s DUI arrest, starting out with a “cut and paste” from the Sheriff’s “jail media report” in a forum under an unrelated post titled “: Trump blamed for Portland killers murders, Obama had many more.”

“•Anonymous
The following public information is from the online Nevada County NCSO jail media report. Nevada County Supervisor Heidi Hall was arrested 6/4/17 in Grass Valley by GVPD. Hall was taken to the NCSO jail and booked for 23152(A)/23152(B) DUI:ALCOHOL/DRUGS.

“*True FUE –
Rumor is that another of the True Fues political heroes has feet of clay. First Terry, now this. True FUE is sad.

“Anonymous —
I wonder if confessed county computer porn lover Terry Lamphier was at the Dem event at Condon Park last night with Heidi Hall? Two shinning stars of the Nevada County Democrat group. You can’t make this stuff up! LOL!

“•Anonymous —
Seems the Nevada County Democrats had an event at the LOVE building at Condon Park last night in Grass Valley. County Supervisor Hall was arrested last night near Condon Park on Minnie Street by the City kiddy park.”

“•Barry Pruett —
Appears that this is not newsworthy to the former Union editor. Podunk Pelline. Middle of the road or liberal hack? Lol”

•Anonymous –
Liberal hack! It will be as if there never was an accident caused by a drunken Heidi Hall in the pus puddle.

“• Barry Pruett —
It was the Russians fault.”

This is redolent of how Pruett ran his clerk-recorder campaign against Greg Diaz in 2010. But his rhetoric fell flat with the electorate — he lost in every precinct — just as it falls flat when he claims “not a single commentator here has denigrated Heidi Hall.”

Here’s a letter in The Union from June 2010.

“Be wary of Pruett’s claims

“Be skeptical of what Barry Pruett says. Here are some examples:

“Pruett’s mailer states Diaz “claims experience running the San Francisco Clerk-Recorder’s office when the elective office was raided by FBI over no-bid contracts and political abuse.”

“This carefully crafted sentence is designed to mislead voters into thinking the FBI raided the clerk-recorder’s office. They raided the assessor’s office. This had absolutely nothing to do with Greg Diaz.

“Pruett claims Diaz “violated California law by disclosing our vital information on the internet and putting our citizens at risk of identity theft.” Untrue. The only complaint came from … Barry Pruett. He wouldn’t provide supporting information. The county IT department spent thousands of taxpayer dollars investigating his claim – and found no security breaches.

“AtPac software: The lawsuit is politically motivated. Placer County dropped AtPac (a Placer County company) because the software was outdated, inadequate and not certified by California. AtPac cost Nevada County far more money than the new software due to requirements for expensive consultants and additional staff. Pruett knows but ignores these facts. AtPac is backing Pruett.

“There’s more, but I’m limited to 200 words.

“Vote for our experienced, ethical, competent Clerk-Recorder Greg Diaz.

“Joan Clappier

Grass Valley”

This is Pruett’s idea of “journalism.” A softball interview from a CABPRO official as he runs for clerk-recorder (“CABPRO Media Productions”):

  1. It seems there was a post I saw somewhere that two other supervisors were also busted for DUI. If this is true, why aren’t they being drug through the mud like Heidi is?
