Spies keep intelligence from Donald Trump on leak concerns

“U.S. intelligence officials have withheld sensitive intelligence from President Donald Trump because they are concerned it could be leaked or compromised, according to current and former officials familiar with the matter,” the Wall Street Journal is reporting.

“The officials’ decision to keep information from Mr. Trump underscores the deep mistrust that has developed between the intelligence community and the president over his team’s contacts with the Russian government, as well as the enmity he has shown toward U.S. spy agencies. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump accused the agencies of leaking information to undermine him.

“In some of these cases of withheld information, officials have decided not to show Mr. Trump the sources and methods that the intelligence agencies use to collect information, the current and former officials said. Those sources and methods could include, for instance, the means that an agency uses to spy on a foreign government.

“A White House official said: ‘There is nothing that leads us to believe that this is an accurate account of what is actually happening.'”

  1. There is intrigue, spies, lies and misdeeds. The greatest of all might be Congress’s changes to the Endangered Species Act which will eliminate protections for a good number of animals on the list.
The motivation? Open more lands for oil and coal production. This is a bill that 45 just needs to sign once it’s passed by Congress and for a guy who lives in a gold tower with no connection to the natural world other than the occasional view of a pigeon flying by, he won’t give it a thought.
We really are the most awful, dominating predators the world has ever seen. Between now and the time that our planet is too warm to support most life as we know it, we’re hellbent on destroying as many non-humans as possible. Humans will prevail, and then we won’t.

    1. Please call Doug LaMalfa’s office and leave a message to vote no on H.R. 424, H.R. 717 and H.J. Res 69. His number is (202)224-3121. I called and left a message last night. They are supposedly voting today! Urgent! Thanks.
