The pettiness of The Union letter writers

I made a reservation for lunch this week at the New Moon Cafe after reading the most ridiculous letter in The Union from Phil Zink of Nevada City.

Zink’s logic goes like this:

“New Moon Café is my wife’s favorite, however, given the recent comments made by council member Senum and the lack of appropriate action or in this case inaction taken by the city council, we can no longer continue to support the city or its businesses as long as Ms. Senum is allowed to represent Nevada City in any official capacity.”

We are doubling down our spending in Nevada City this week.

  1. There’s a Phil Zink of Nevada City who works for Caltrans, according to an internet search. Can you boycott Caltrans? LOL.

  2. It’s a personal issue amd obviously his choice & loss. Althought he has a 95959 zip code, Phil lives in the county. If he wishes to drive all the way to Grass Valley instead of what’s at his feet, go for it. I really don’t think he’ll be missed here in town.
