This is the Big Day of Giving

On May 3, our region comes  together for one big Day of Giving.

For the past two years, the Big Day of Giving has rallied our community in raising nearly $9 million from over 36,000 donors from all over our region, the state, the country and the world.

The Big Day of Giving is an opportunity not only for donors to show their community pride and support the nonprofits that are working hard to make our region great, it is also a year-long capacity building program that helps nonprofit participants hone their skills in marketing, social media, and board and donor engagement.

Big Day of Giving is also a part of a national giving day called Give Local America. Our region will join hundreds of communities across the country on May 3 as we cross the finish line together.

Last year, Give Local America raised over $68 million in 24 hours for over 9,000 nonprofits.

The Big Day of Giving has been generously supported by incentive partners who are providing a pool of incentive dollars to boost giving with prize challenges and to partially cover fees associated with the technology needed to facilitate an online giving event.

Additionally, participating nonprofits have the opportunity to add matching funds to their donation pages. Donors can be assured that investments made on May 3 will be amplified in a variety of way.
