  1. Who is Richard Harris? I’ve seen a picture, know he owns a insurance agency and he’s running for Supervisor. Can someone enlighten me further? Thanks.

      1. From clean streets to clean water; good roads to high speed internet; from caring for our forests, our vets, and our seniors to open government and open doors; from real opportunity to promoting small businesses; from preserving our farms to keeping our quality of life in this very special region, we need officials who can do more than vote No. We need real leadership that sees a future uplifting to us all.
❖Come listen, learn and ask about their positions on items important to you in your District!
❖We need volunteers to help with their campaigns by phone banking calls, walking the area, hosting meet and greets, setting up events, and spreading the word on how much these folks care about important issues to us.

  2. Hi Jon,
Here’s some more information from the local Democrats and a link to a campaign website:
“Mr. Harris’s long-term residency in Nevada County, his experience as a businessperson, and his vision of how to move our county forward all contributed to the overwhelming support for his election as our new District 2 Supervisor. Nevada County needs new fresh leadership and ideas. Mr. Harris supports agriculture, small businesses, and attracting a new generation of computer based industries that will be coupled with his keen sense of fiscal responsibility, and firm resolve on issues that matter to all county residents. He has the good sense to constructively listen to all points of view, but without being a leaf in the wind.
Mr. Harris states on his web site, “As a former volunteer firefighter in District 2, I am well versed with emergency services. I am also acutely aware of what this drought has done for wildfire conditions in this county. I will work aggressively with local fire agencies and fire protection counsel to promote diligent forest and vegetation management.”

    1. And once again “fish” comes up short — this time at the expense of Gregory and the rest of this “Rogues Gallery”!
“Administrivia – Yes, the italics were due to Mr fish failing to include the slash in his italics terminator at the end of his 907pm. He has been known to do that once or twice in the past 😉 Posted by: George Rebane | 24 April 2016 at 08:24 AM”

      1. No word from “fish” about his latest screw up. He just keeps on ticking, though — like the little Energizer bunny rabbit.

BTW, I noticed that Todd Juvinall was taken to the woodshed on Nevada County Peeps Facebook page this weekend for spreading lies about Heidi Hall’s position on chemtrails. (For the record, she does not believe in the chemtrails conspiracy). Wow did he get slammed — by signed names, not trolls like on his blog. One comment “Todd Juvinall is a pretty universally hated shill.” But wait I thought Todd said on his blog that he was universally liked. ROFLOL!

This little group of right wing extremists is truly “the circle of stupid,” as commenters have said previously.

    2. For an “independent software engineer at my place” who was on the losing side of Prop. 23, the effort to overturn the “global warming act,” among other issues, Gregory sure is mouthy. I don’t know of any STEM educator in our community who has ever heard of him. IrrelevanteveninNevadaCounty.com LOL
