A story about journalism wins “Best Picture” at the Oscars

A story about journalism “Spotlight” won “Best Picture” at the 88th Annual Academy Awards. I have known editor Marty Baron over the years, going back to his days at the L.A. Times. Marty is now editor of the Washington Post. The movie is based on an investigation while he was the editor of the Boston Globe. It also is a good story about the struggles to change the reactive culture of most newsrooms — and weak-kneed publishers. 12805768_10207185047136332_8565330144746487299_n
