Marie Johnson, “the flower lady” of Grass Valley, is still making people smile! This weekend is Marie’s 50th Valentine’s Day at Foothill Flowers, which her family owns. Here’s a post of Marie from the flower shop’s Facebook page; and here’s a historic photo of Foothill Flowers, circa 1967, from our magazine (thanks to Searls Historical Library).

Visit our magazine’s Facebook page (with 7,140 “likes”) to read more about Foothill Flowers and the downtown Grass Valley merchants.
