Nevada City residents address another ignorant editorial in The Union

I was glad to see Sally Harris and Paul Matson, longtime residents of Nevada City, address the ignorant staff editorial in The Union about canceling the Halloween Parade.

“The editorial’s line, ‘Not In My Back Yard’ was ill-conceived and uninformed,” the residents’ editorial said on Tuesday morning. “Halloween in Nevada City is a wide-open, community event that is, plain and simple, a gift and a knockout by any standard.”

I had written about The Union’s misinformed editorial earlier in “The Union off the mark in Halloween Parade editorial.”

This is the latest shining example of the “farm league” reporting, editing and editorials of The Union. You never run out of material. Podunk.
