The Union columnist is flopping on social media

“Bored Georgeman’s” weekly column in The Union is being shared on the newspaper’s Facebook page this afternoon but no one has “liked” it. No one.

It has been shared four times — by a reporter at The Union in “Nevada County News and Information,” “Grass Valley Peeps,” “Nevada City Peeps” and “Nevada County Peeps.” But no one has “liked” it there either.

Perhaps some body will read this and give George a “like” or two. Or maybe a comment like “Go George”!

The only way newspapers can hope to compete in the era of social media is by providing compelling content.
