Denver goes to the Super Bowl

I was glad to see the Denver Broncos make it to the Super Bowl. A real tribute to quarterback Peyton Manning’s comeback. We lived in Denver in the early ’70s, and the locals are football fanatics. The Colorado Buffalos were a good team at the time, in a rivalry with Nebraska.

Now it’s going to be a “West of the Mississippi” Super Bowl.

I like football because it’s a meritocracy: No “good old boys network” can direct the outcome.

  1. Denver-Seattle will be a great, and let’s face it, predictable matchup. I’m looking forward to the “West of the Mississippi” Super Bowl — played in the East, no less.
