International House @ UC Berkeley

I lived at the International House at UC Berkeley for two years when I was an undergraduate. It was a wonderful experience. The “I-House,” as it’s called, released a video today about its history:

  1. I got all excited when I read there was an IHOP(International House…Of Pancakes) coming to UC Berkeley! Then I read your full post. There is nothing like a “Root & Tootie, Fresh & Fruity after a final exam!..

  2. At age 4, I attended UC Berkeley’s Child Developement Center that was located one block down from the I House on Bancroft. I remember my fascination in visiting a place that was so full of language and different cultures and to this day, have always honored that wonderful building that lies there as the center point amongst the high-profile fraternities & sororities. My daughter was also fortunate in spending her first year at Cal in the I House and remains in contact with her roommate from Poland. Thanks Jeff!
