Video: Mark Meckler on the Tea Party’s 40-year plan
You Tube videos are now out on local resident Mark Meckler et al.’s 40-year plan for the tea party, discussed at a rally this past weekend at the Elk’s Club in Grass Valley. This is the most detail so far on the group’s plan. The top video is part 1 and the bottom video is part 2.

Oh great, another guy with German heritage and has a last name that ends in “LER” and has grand plans for a new political movement to reshape politics, culture, the education system, the Supreme Court and the future of a country and believes in exceptionalism.
I wonder if he will have a book ready for 2012 called, “My Struggle”
Whether you agree or not, I think it’s really important to understand what the tea people think, especially when you hear about their plans to recruit like-minded political candidates for nonpartisan offices locally. This is the kind of “community service” that a “community newspaper” should be providing — raw and unfiltered.

Okay – what a good idea. Tea Bags are good for something after all.
Okay Jeff, that sounds reasonable. My question is, are the Tea Party leaders like Mark Meckler trying to understand anything about what other people and interest groups think and what they are concerned about? Or is it all about what they want?
Oh, it’s all about what they want. But people need to discover that for themselves. I am confident that voters and the public will be able to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Mark Meckler was a strong supporter of the illegal Iraq War in 2002 and 2003. That didn’t turn out so good, and depleted the US treasury of almost a trillion dollars, and counting.
I am not a big fan of calling people on hypocrisy because I think the world is very complex and highly nuanced.
But Mark Meckler’s initial support of the Iraq War deserves special scrutiny, particularly since the TPP is all about “fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets.”
None of those thing were honored when the USA attacked Iraq unilaterally.
I would ask Mr. Meckler to respond to this challenge in any forum that he chooses. However, my guess is that he will not do that, knowing full well that when you are building a cult of personality, and flying around the country in really spiffy jets, challenges from down below are best ignored.
All well and good, Mark. Be careful the seeds you have sown. History lays out your path.
What you need to know, people, is that even those of us involved in the movement know what Meckler is about (himself) and do not regard him, or TPP, as the spokespeople of the movement.
AND if we can get beyond the normal LABELS that we put on each other and start talking about issues, honestly and openly, I think that we have much more in common than the Ruling Class wants US to know.
So, don’t judge the movement by opportunists like Meckler.
