It’s hard to miss the new Chris’ Collision sign when you’re driving past historic Grass Valley on Highway 49 — an auto-body shop that is not exactly on the National Register of Historic Places (at least yet).
Now a “monument” sign is being proposed for Chris’ Collision and Enterprise Rent-a-Car located at 470 Idaho Maryland Drive. It is expected to sail through the Development Review Committee at a meeting on October 8.
Grass Valley increasingly is becoming redolent of the commercialism that you see when driving by the historic town of Sonora. Such is progress.
We’ve relied on Chris’ Collision for repair work when a reckless driver clipped our new truck when it was parked on the street in the middle of the night (without leaving a note). They loaned us a car with Enterprise, so the two have teamed up successfully before.
