As we reported the other day after meeting with the owner, Humpty Dumpty Kitchen is reopening this week in Grass Valley after it was closed by a fire — with the same staff. “Hi Facebook friends, we are doing a soft opening on thursday, be one of the first ones to come in, we have few new items in the menu. Salad menu, few new burgers, few new items on the breakfast, homemade desserts, gluten-free, multigrain, and pretty much what we had before, we hope you guys like it. Also our drive thru menu. Open 6:00 am to 3:00 pm Thanks for all the prayers and beautiful thoughs, Grand reopening friday march 8 6:00 to 3:00 Drive thru 10:30 to 4:00.”
The fans are reacting on HDK’s Facebook page:

Jeff,
How did you fight the temptation of having “Humpty Dumpty was put back together again” in the title or piece?
Ben,
I did. I’m an early riser, and when we first moved here more than 7 years ago, we were working on our house a lot. I’d get up at around 5:30 a.m. and HDK was one of the few places that opened early. I suspect our right-wing blogging friends were regulars, though I couldn’t have recognized them at the time!
Fun to see so much positive support in the community for this business.
