I was surprised to see no election coverage on the website of the Nevada City Advocate.
There’s a story about a “Halloween bash,” however.
Yubanet has a writeup on Measure L passing.
We are indeed a tiny, tiny town.

With Election news splattered over every channel, website, newspaper and blog.. I found it rather “refreshing” that they are reporting some local items that get passed over during election season.
Good to know. Just to remind you, though, Halloween was last month. BTW, the website does state “Our web site does news updates.”
LOL! yeah NCA runs things a little late and keeps things a little long…some work needed on their site of sure…oh and Jeff..Happy Halloween!
I’m still trying to find out state-wide election results. I’ll admit I haven’t tried very hard, but I’ve gone to sfgate.com a coupla times today and went empty looking for the “race results here” button. No joy. Similar results with nytimes.com, but that was earlier this morning. Haven’t tried the LA Times yet, that is probably where I would get better results. A project for later on this evening…
But I’ve come accustomed to chaos. I now understand, and accept, that social and political systems that were invented when steam engines were king rule the day. One the main reasons I moved to Nevada County 24 years ago was so I wouldn’t have to give a sh*t so much about this intrinsically flawed process. Another main reason was traffic, parking tickets, and other big-city annoyances. A good friend of mine who lives in Menlo Park sent me a text today while he was waiting in line at traffic court to contest a red-light camera fine of ~$500 that was erroneous.
Folks, we have it really really good here.
