Editor’s note: We saw Bo Derrick “up close and personal” yesterday — much more low-key — at the Breeders’ Cup Horse Races at Santa Anita Park in L.A. We’ve seen her at the Del Mar horse races too. Derrick serves on the California Horse Racing Board.
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger named animal lover Derek to the seven-member Board, which oversees all of the state’s racing and betting action. We’re looking forward to today’s Breeders’ Cup action, as well as “watching” our nephew play Iowa State’s QB against Oklahoma on our PDAs via an ESPN mobile app. It’s a big sports weekend for us. The weather is gorgeous.
