Fun event ~ tomorrow evening at 5.30pm
Please join me at Foothill Flowers on Tuesday October 23, 2012 at 5:30 to meet Brian Dahle, candidate for California State Assembly. There will be light refreshments(good wine & finger food) on hand. This is a great opportunity to meet Brian in person and hear his ideas from him directly.
Brian has earned my support. I think that he is head and shoulders a better choice than his opponent, Rick Bosetti, for the following reasons:
1. As a Lassen County Supervisor he was one of the first to support the legislation (authored by then-Assembly member Tim Leslie (R-Tahoe)) that created the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, and he has served on its board from its beginning.
2. He is a rancher who understands the role of government in protecting the natural environment, such as federal programs to protect water quality like EQUIP. He understands the value of conservation investments.
3. He is a good listener that doesn’t let dogma plug his ears or stop him from voting his conscience.
4. He is much, much better than his opponent, Rick Bosetti, on issues of concern to me including environmental protection, social justice and sustainable agriculture. Brian has earned the endorsement of Bob Meacher, the Democrat that he defeated, a Plumas County Supervisor.
