From Sierra FoodWineArt magazine: Julia Morgan is California’s most famous architect—designing over 700 buildings, including Hearst Castle, parts of the UC Berkeley campus, Asilomar near Monterey, and North Star House in Grass Valley.
A 6-week festival called Julia Morgan 2012 launched October 1 at buildings she designed throughout the state. Exhibits and activities vary from tours to lectures to open houses.
