We’re distributing the fall issue of our magazine and it has a “scoop”:
“And for the first time, the downtown will host an ice skating rink from January 18-21 (Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday).
“The ice-skating rink at the Gold Miners Inn will be unique in the foothills, attracting visitors and locals alike. A life-sized snow globe complete with a larger artificial snow area will round out the post-holiday offering.”
This comes after a plan for an ice skating rink in downtown was floated for Christmas and Thanksgiving but not finalized. This is a cool alternative. Kudos to the Grass Valley Downtown Association!
We also hope you will visit the Fall Colors Open Studios & Art Tour of Western Nevada County on August 6-7 and 13-14. We write about it in our magazine. We attended a “meet the artists party” at the Center last night — and our son got to watch local Alasdair Fraser play the fiddle. Kudos to The Center for the Arts!
Our website and a link to the digital version of our current issue (including information about the Open Studios Tour) is here.
