In our County, alleged disruption and intimidation at the polls in Truckee surfaced in the 2010 midterm elections, as reported here and here.
“True the Vote is a Tea Party-infused organization that aims to recruit one million poll watchers around the country this November, to make sure no one votes fraudulently—notwithstanding mounds of data showing that voter fraud is extremely rare, if existant at all,” according to ColorLines.com. “The Houston-based group says it is focused on non-partisan, ballot security issues, but instead has partnered or affiliated itself with far right candidates, elected officials, and elections administrators solely from the Republican Party. The group also works with hard-line conservative organizations that have helped push the Republican Party to the far right.”

A slippery slope is being created here. Republicans already have announced future efforts. If they are not stopped now there will be DNA tests required to fulfill european white race citizenship. Think I’m kidding? Then you aren’t listening.
This really bothers me. If I were to be approached by a “poll watcher” they should be advised to keep their mouth shut around my polling place. Citizens arrest would be to good for them, and hell ain’t half full of these liars……yet.
I’m almost tempted to give up absentee voting to tempt one of these Kochsuckers to approach me. Might be worth one night in jail for assault.
And if people wonder why certain states have been targeted for “True the Vote” the brutal electoral math for Mr. Romney one more time

I saw this on facebook yesterday and made sure to share so the word gets out big time!
I just registered for mail-in voting. Hand carried my form to the Elections office at the Rood Center. They looked up my name and address on their computer, but never asked to see my ID. I have no problem with this. But, why do they then make such a big deal about seeing ID when you actually vote in person? The Tea Party is like a modern version of the Nazi party. Very scary. And they are funded by big business who are using their rhetoric to keep the people out of their corporations. Yes, the Tea Party is all about racism, but the corporate money backing them is all about deregulation of big business.
