Well, I got to give the Repubs credit for having a vegetarian dish!
If the Republicans serve any chicken wings they will only be the “right” wings of the birds…
I want to know what “taking back” means. If it means going back to the W Bush years or Reagan/ Bush years no thank you. Now if it is the Eisenhower years when we had a 91% top marginal tax rate, selective import tariffs, 30% unionized work force, affordable health care, massive federal infrastructure projects, strong manufacturing base, growing middle class, and ending foreign occupations I am in.
I’m reminded about what many drivers say on the highway….

Taking America back to before Brown v. the Board of Education of Topeka Kansas: before Roe v. Wade; before Miranda v. Arizona; and a dozen other cases that brought America into modernity!

That’s exactly it. And taking back America to no child labor laws, back to no womens right to vote, back to back alley abortions, and back to illegal to organize a union. You know the robber baron era. Wasn’t it grand back in those days, as long as you were a white male with money. Oh I guess that is still the case today.
The $25 “family” ticket offered by the “D’s” is an excellent marketing touch!
I have attended both events in years past. The D’s generally have milder speakers compared to the ‘red meat’ R’s. And the R’s always had a full bar. No wimpy wine and beer for them

I don’t think Obama was in office a month before I saw a crowd with a spokeswoman that appeared to have just left the Jerry Springer Show, when the emaciated, lady began yelling into the mike, “We want our country back.” Since Team Obama hadn’t time to do anything yet–even before the never-ending chorus of NOs from the Republican First party–it was obvious she wanted the country back from that black guy. And her eyes had that crazy glare one gets after years of drinking shots of gin.
