I noticed than Jan Arbuckle is running for re-election on the Grass Valley City Council. Congratulations Jan!
I also noticed that a Jan Arbuckle of Grass Valley “Jan Arbuckle (Janet Weaver}” commented on famous (or infamous) Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Facebook page. Joe has been a flashpoint for controversy surrounding Arizona’s anti-immigration law.
You can see for yourself here. “With a WIN in November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” was the comment on May 30 from Jan to Joe, according to Facebook.
Arbuckle is a retired deputy from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Perhaps you could ask Jan to elaborate when she knocks on your door!

I don’t know about Jan, but Joe is about my least favorite politician. It seems to me that he has little respect for basic due process and civil liberties. Joe also is the type of politician who never saw a camera who he did not love–we have enough of that type already in California!
Remember Dan Logue’s campaign signs, “Protect our borders.” I first saw them on a drive from Nevada City to Chico in Butte County when he was running against Sue Horne. “What borders?” I asked myself from the middle of a rice field. LOL.
So…what does Jan propose for the City of Grass Valley? Approprations for the police department to solve a problem that doesn’t exist because she’s afraid of an illegal invasion?
A few years back a volunteer GV police person at a Farmer’s Market told me that the Muslims wanted to invade America and force us to be Muslim. I asked him how they were going to do that given the size of our military and the American spirit. He didn’t answer. So maybe now the focus is on Mexicans?
