Listen up “electeds” and politicos: how hard-right organizes in social media (here and elsewhere)

Here’s how Freedomworks has become a place for tea party, hard-right supporters and Agenda 21 foes to “connect,” and it’s gaining steam with political activists in our rural community.

FreedomConnector includes a “news feed” slanted against you-know-who for President, as well as interactive maps that let users connect to other like-minded people in their region, post their views, organize events and more.

Congressman Tom McClintock, among others, has created local events on this site.

Agenda 21 opposition is heating up locally. One recent post out of Truckee read: “I purchased 10 copies of Ross Korie’s book “Behind the Green Mask,” which details her experience fighting UN Agenda 21 in Santa Rosa. I give them out to people I think may be in positions to squash this evil plan here in Truckee.”

“Documenting and exposing stealth attacks by Agenda 21ers,” another local one read.

In Silicon Valley, there’s a group called “CEOs for Liberty.”

Here’s the latest news from the FreedomConnector “news feed”:

Here’s why FreedomConnector “changes the game,” according to proponents:

Smyrnos beat Anderson for Judge in downtown Grass Valley!

We’ve been analyzing some of the results from last week’s election. Here’s one: One of the precincts where George Smyrnos beat Tom Anderson for Judge was in downtown Grass Valley (CP26), not even George’s own home precinct.

All told, there were six and one close one, but GP 26 was the largest percentage and the only win in Grass Valley:

Tom/George
CP19— 148/147 50/50 Sierra Pines Methodist Church
CP15— 183/192 49/51 Alta Sierra Elem School, Bd A
CP40— 85/92 48/52 Penn Valley Community Church Bd B
CP53— 80/87 48/52 Banner Grange #627
CP20— 160/181 47/53 Alta Sierra Elem School, Bd B
CP18— 167/211 44/56 Alta Sierra C/c, Bd C
CP26— 44/55 44/56 Grass Valley Veterans Bldg, Bd C

I highly suspect a Smyrnos supporter — or George himself — walked the Grass Valley district. It worked for Supervisor Terry Lamphier when he beat John Spencer (who happens to be a “CP26′er” himself).
