I noticed The Union’s 16-page election guide leads with a full-page ad from Sue McGuire’s campaign. Then the first page lists a Q&A with Sue. The guide doesn’t seem to list the candidates in an alphabetical fashion. There are three paid ads: One from McGuire, one from George Smyrnos, one from Tom Anderson and a house ad to balance the 1/4 page ad from Smyrnos. It is here.

Isn’t Sue a Tea Party candidate?
I wish we could get beyond parties and look at the person.
Anna of NCFocus had this link in her blog to an interactive voter’s guide in the Sac Bee that is helpful. Too bad it doesn’t include Nevada County issues.

I think I’ll start up and run as the candidate for the “Unlikely” party.”
Glory be, it is NOT behind the Union’s paywall, as near as I can tell. I may have discovered a glich in their wall….heh..heh…heh,

Sorry to say-
According to Sue….
“As to The Union’s choice of ad space, I don’t know why they make the decisions they make. I did notice they put the interviews of those who paid for big ads right next to their ads on everything. I know on the voter ballots it was done by lottery and I’m at the bottom. Did the County Elections Department cheat me because Nate Beason stood up for that department in the AtPac fiasco?”
When in doubt…go to the source for the answer.
