That’s right Jeff, biofuel bus for years.
Willie Nelson is a pioneer on many fronts.
He wrote “Crazy”, sang with Johnny Carson, starred in a movie with Robert Redford, and won female hearts over several generations.
American Classic.

Willie’s bus nearly rolled into town a couple times in the past.
Seems to me it was in 2006 or ’07 that Willie called the National Hotel and inquired about rooms for the band. They had a gig scheduled in Reno and Willie wanted the band to relax for a couple days after that before they hit the road again. Later, he called to say that he wouldn’t be able to visit Nevada City after the Reno date, but he’d try to do it another time.
A year or so later, he called again, with similar plans. Unfortunately, they also fell through, so it’s great to hear that he will finally be visiting Nevada County.
(And, no, they weren’t gag calls by someone pretending to be Willie Nelson; it was Willie and he just wanted to give his band a couple days off in Nevada City).
Thanks Steve. Great institutional knowledge, as always. And something we can roll out when the announcement becomes “official.” BTW, we had a great break in South Florida — lots of fresh seafood.
