What about the positions of Nevada City Clerk and City Treasurer?
Well go ahead and tell us Niel? You are running unopposed for City Clerk, at least for now. I think I’ll run. I guess somebody will be appointed to the Treasurer post, since you can’t hold two offices, Niel.
Yes I am unopposed and the Treasurer’s office is left open. I am allowed to hold two offices but one is not to run for two offices in the same election.
Have a great day,
Unfortunately you are unable to run in this election but in 4 years – go for either.
Terri has not filed her papers and neither has Ben Emery, they do have until the 14th as does anyone else who would like to join the fray.
Thank you for the compliment that everyone on your blog or who reads it knows who I am and my positions with the City.
Jeff:
Even if unopposed, Niel is “running” and not able, as he says, to run for two offices in the same election.
I think you’d make a heck of a city treasurer. For that matter, you could file for a seat on the council. (That would sure make a few folks nervous, huh?).
For all candidates to consider, why not try to attract some of this cash?

I ran into Michael Rodgers yesterday at Coffeebar in Truckee and he confirmed that he filed his paperwork and signatures on Thursday for the District 5 BOS race. Scuttlebutt is no on else, other than Richard Anderson, filed or pulled papers yet. They will have until the 14th, since Supervisor Owens did not file.
Yes, the Elections Office confirmed this morning that Rodgers filed.
The Union has gotten around to reporting that Louis Meyer is entering the race in District 1. It refers to “his first media interview.”

In fact, Meyer was at the pasty toss in Grass Valley this past weekend giving “media” interviews and meeting with citizens. Better late than never, I suppose.
Louis Meyer has withdrawn from the District 1 Supervisor race:
