“A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found President Barack Obama has gained overall support — with marked gains among key groups of female voters,” according to Politico.
“Obama has gained support among white and suburban women. In both groups, the president is up to a 45 percent approval rating from 40 percent in December. Overall among women, approval for the president rose to 54 percent versus 40 percent disapproval. In December, both his overall approval and disapproval among women were 47.
“The increase comes as the battle over the president’s contraceptive mandate has reached a fever pitch but also corresponds to growing confidence in the economy. Obama’s overall approval rating is up to 50 percent, the poll finds, and in a matchup against his lead Republican rival Mitt Romney, the survey finds that Obama would win 50 percent to 44 percent.”

I’m shocked…shocked to discover that Republicans are shooting themselves in the…..uh…foot.
Look for the Republicans to do everything possible to start a “lovely little war” to jack the price of oil to at least $7.00 by October, maybe sooner. Contrast that with the drop in oil prices between $4.00 plus in June of 2008, all the way down to $160 or so in December, trying to make Bush’s economy feel good to voters.

I just cannot figure how come the Republicans seem to be so stupid this year?
I know that the Mayan Calendar has the world ending in December, but these guys seem to be taking that prediction quite literally and are starting early.
They present up with the parade of clowns (from Herman Cain to Gingrich) and ask that we “place one of these folks” in the most powerful position in the world.
I wouldn’t let one of these guys date may daughter, let alone run this country, especially with all of the sexual mis-conduct these guys have been accused of. It goes from Herman Cain’s groping / adulterous relationship to Newt’s “open marriage” and adulterous relationships. Jeeze, can’t these guys be quiet about it?
JFK was purported to have a relationship with Maryland Monroe, and he was able to keep that one in the bag, but what gives with these doofuses?
Then in their latest fiasco the Republican’s support Rush Limbaugh and his idiotic lunacy. This lunacy has recently cost them an additional 8% of women’s support, and if you consider that they are lagging behind President Obama, I would not want to be stepping in poop at this point of the election cycle (especially with Women as my wife has not forgotten that I forgot to open a door for her 5 ½ years ago) let alone if I spoke trash about their health-care rights.
What has happened to sanity in the Republicans, or are they just all taking stupid pills early this year?
