No – No – No. Wrong headline. We should be talking about the great win against the Saints – not a loss that occured 21 years ago.

The 49ers have a great opportunity in playing the Giants, a payback game extraordinaire.
I think this team is going to the Super Bowl.
Yes, sweet revenge. That 1991 game almost ended Joe Montana’s career.
My mom got a great deal of joy out of the Niners during the 1980′s after my dad died in 1979. I wish she could have made to this season, just a year and 1/2 later, she would have turned 100 last November, but hopefully she’s got ringside seats at the Jumbotron in the sky.
That game and Montana’s crushing injuries created a very heated debate in our family about Montana and Young. My brother still gets fired up about the fact that Young was declared the starter when Montana came back, which led him directly to Kansas City.
