My dad used to enjoy the Adventures of Tintin comic books. He passed the habit on to me, and I passed it on to my son. We have a few of them, which I received at Christmas when I was growing up.
The Adventures of Tintin (Les Aventures de Tintin) is a series of comic books created by Belgian artist Georges Remi (1907–1983), who wrote under the pen name of Hergé.
The hero of the series is Tintin, a young Belgian reporter. He is aided in his adventures by his faithful fox terrier dog Snowy (Milou in French).
The series is one of the most popular European comics, with translations published in more than 50 languages and more than 200 million copies of the books sold to date, as Wikipedia reminds us.
Now there’s a new flim about Tintin by Steven Spielberg. We’re going to watch it this week.

I hear the new Mission Impossible flick with Tom Cruise is quite good and deeper than just his past M.I. efforts. Will be seeing it today. Anyone seen it, and if so, how was it?
Sounds and looks like fun.
