“The thrust of this segment on “Fox & Friends” (watch the video below): The media is piling on the News Corp. phone hacking scandal; there are huge problems in the country, so why all the attention on News of the World? “Fox & Friends,” of course, is a program on the Fox News Channel, a News Corp. property,” as the Washington Post reports.
Going forward, read “What’s next for News Corp. and its worlds” by Jeff Jarvis on BuzzMachine.
“In the U.S., the right-wing depends on Fox News and is surely getting nervous about its fate,” Jarvis writes. “It is becoming — if one can imagine this — even more of a laughingstock than it already was as it ignores or defends Murdoch in the scandal. I could imagine Roger Ailes assembling rich Republicans to engineer a leveraged buyout and keep it safe for them in time for the election. Then there could be no doubt of its role as a propaganda arm of the right.”

Nick Davies of the UK newspaper The Guardian is my current hero. Full-on courage in journalism. Damn, this guy’s got a set…he took on the whole corrupt enchilada…Kudos man…Kate
The “Three Stooges” sobriquet has already been used. Maybe “Stooge News” would be a more fitting name for this organisation.
This is getting stranger and darker and just plain wierder by the minute: They have now found a bag with a computer, letters, emails and disks in a rubbish bin quite close to sunny rebekah brooks farm….her husband tried to claim it while denying it was theirs. This is the kind of “trash” that only FOX could cover…and can’t….lol…Kate
Absolutely Fantastic! See dreams do come true!
Reporting the news from the phone hacking “black hole of skank”…eeew. Kate
They’ve had it coming for a long time. Like a good steak or a fine bottle of wine what they reaped has aged only to be bitten in the butt by karma.
Truer words Michelle. I can’t begin to imagine what kind of person works for this kind of outfit…or how much integrity you’d have to shed in the process…sick stuff. Kate
The damaging tentacles need to be severed… the WSJ was a staple once for some sincere profiles and ‘market moving’ influence, but anyone could see the change.

News Corp’s contributions toward the destruction of our culture and politics was evident to many for some time. The us/them portrayals in journalism furthered the fringe’s sense of legitimacy, and skewed the center.
I guess that genius Todd Juvinall thinks the WSJ editorial is spot on 8)

Now the whistle-blower is found dead: This is looking more and more like a Clinton conspiracy every day.

Speaking of the vast right wing conspiracy, David Brock, who now runs Mediamatters.com has a killer book called “Blinded By the Right”…he was part of it for American Spectator and worked for all of the past slugs and Murdoch think alikes…Hilary was right, basically. Great website and cool book too…ya read it Stoos? You really, really should…Kate
Uncle Rupay…we shall see ya in the middle of parliament, 6:30 a.m., chipping norton guvnah…luv, your best mate, PM Chippy Cameron…Kate
God, these people are criminals–stupid and willfully blind in their zealotry, they make the Watergate burglars and wiretappers look like moral pillars and members of mensa…Kate
Ok, who “staged” the pieman and Wendi’s “protection” of Peter Pan? The Sun maybe? Kate
Willfull BLINDNESS is a legal, criminal term first used in the Enron hearings during the Dubya/Dick show circa 2001-2008 a.d. Rome revisited. With the Saudi’s royalty a huge shareholder of Newscorp… Coincidence? Um. Hardly. The russians and Chinese are busy getting in with the Saudis–its being called “a buying opportunity…more like a vulture oppurtunity. Wow…gross. Kate
