The resume for the selected candidate for the county ERC, Ronald Moser, was included in the board packets for Thursday’s meeting, and I looked at it.
Moser, of Chico, states he is a “hands-on C-level executive with a broad understanding of all facets in business management and operations.”
He was executive vice president with Northwestern Carbon of Red Bluff. Moser also was vice president and CEO of Northwestern Resources of Anderson, and president and CEO of Tuscan Village Development group.
In this role, he developed entitlements for a 400 lot residential subdivision.
His other experience includes working with the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii, a Christian-based group as a fundraiser.

BTW, Russ Steele attended the meeting and reports that Tom McClintock will speak at the Feb. 3 meeting of the group.
(Footnote: Tom supports reopening the Idaho-Maryland mine).

Jeff:
Do you recall the source for the assertion that McClintock supports re-opening the IMM? That sounds right to me too, but I can’t recall where I might have heard it.
Don,
You read it on my blog and on the IMM website. It’s very important for people to understand this as the process becomes more political:

Thanks, Jeff.
I tracked down the page on the Emgold website where McClintock’s support is mentioned:

Tom may appreciate some additional information about this project.
Yes, that’s a lot of hubris, considering the EIR still hasn’t been approved. The community needs to be aware of how the politics is lining up around the mine. It’s not a coincidence.
Think that was an interview reported in an article in The union, Don. You might find it in the paper’s Archives. His first year in office, the Congressman came to Nevada County on a number of occasions, possibly trying to increase support, since he lost this county in the election, but his support for the mine showed he still knew little about the area or the people here, since relatively few still favored opening IMM after all the meetings and info came out about it.
Thanks, Pat.
You’re right. I remember that, now that you mention it.
Here’s The Union article — from March of 2009 — mentioning his support for re-opening the IMM:
“McClintock ties mine reopening to Dorsey funding”
