“About Me: Representative, 4th District, California”
Russ Steele is crowing on his blog that Tom McClintock has a blog on The Union. It is here. Do you think he needs a better photo? LOL.
Exit question: Why just Tom? The Union has handed our congressman a great p.r. tool but without balance. This is becoming a familiar refrain.

Shouldn’t his “pic” be Red… not blue?
Funny.
Re: this article’s exit question.
I am reasonably certain that any of The Union’s registered members are allowed to create and post to personal blogs on The Union’s web site. Assuming that this is correct, the only imbalance I detect is that other elected representatives have not taken advantage of The Union’s blog resource.
The only familiar refrain I hear, Jeff, is that of yet another of your attempts at anti-conservative spin.
I have had a Union Blog going on 2 1/2 years. Started out by Zuri who set it up for news/commentary as an Obama Delegate writing from Denver convention. Then Zuri asked me to be the election blogger for the left. Tis pretty easy to use and would suggest anyone running for elective office start one up to get name in front of Union readers. Strongly recommend approve all replies submitted or right wing WILL post garbage for every post. Like it or not, The Union blog is a place to get yourself known. I also suggest a Blog with union FOR ISSUES.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS IF BLOGGERS HAD A PLACE TO HOST BLOGS OR MINI BLOGS. NAME OF GAME IS NAME OR ISSUE RECOGNITION IN A GOOD WAY INTO THE MINDS OF POTENTIAL VOTERS.
Michael,
Yes, but I can’t even find The Union blogs unless somebody like Russ links to it for me. Why not help your friend Tom out and get a real photo to go with his blog to spruce it up a bit? He’ll need some “mojo” to compete here! LOL.
Jeff-
Thanks for confirming that your articles include anti-conservative spin.
I see Jeff as pretty even in his posts. When right is correct, Jeff is right there, just as with left. Far right/left Jeff ain’t, IMHO.
Curtis,
Thanks for confirming I’m a centrist. It’s funny that Michael didn’t come out from the woodwork when I was defending Obama last week for compromising and, in turn, angering the far left by supporting the Bush tax cuts. Could it be because Michael is about as conservative as they get, so anything to his left is all a big “blur”?
And lest Michael put words in my mouth, my “yes” response to him was confirming that anybody who is registered at The Union can start a blog. Exit question: I wonder if Tom personally registered or if one of his staffers registered for him and used his name?
What is Michael’s purpose for coming here? For that matter, who is Michael? I have no idea. He won’t share it here, only in an email, he tells me. Whenever Michael comes to this blog, I’m reminded of the “Kesti challenge”:

Hopefully a picture that is one from this Century. I would not recognize him as all I see in mail from him is ones that looks from twenty years ago. I guess this could be purposeful to appeal to folks influenced by one near the same age?
The blue one is about as accurate as the ones from the past century, it appears to me.
Any photo will have to show him from the waist up, since his bottom half is clothed in surfer shorts and sandals, much like his representation of north/south interests.
