Boxer, Brown wins; Dems still control Senate, according to projections

Barbara Boxer has won her hard-fought U.S. Senate race against Carly Fiorina, and the Senate remains under Democratic control, according to CNN projections.

Jerry Brown also has been declared the winner over Meg Whitman for governor in California.

In addition, tea party candidate Sharron Angle is losing to Harry Reid in Nevada, according to the latest returns.

Bottom line: The tea party “tsumani” has hit a wall when “blowing” West.
