Back on Jan. 13 I declared that the library outsourcing plan was dead.
“The plan to “outsource” management of our library system to an East Coast firm died on Wednesday,” I wrote. “Though the county supervisors still have to vote on the proposal, the opposition against it is insurmountable. After all, it’s an election year.”
Now, sure enough, the County Executive Officer Rick Haffey is recommending the board approve the management plan from Truckee Friends of the Library and county staff.
The board will vote on the recommendation of Feb. 23.
The agenda is here.
